I am currently obtaining my Master's degree in Honors Information Analysis (expected 2021). I have always been interested in computers, and acquired the ability to use Adobe Photoshop and Elements. Learning and working with these programs, influenced me to pursue a career in computers.

After hearing about Detroit Mercy's 5-year Master's program, and meeting the excellent faculty here, I decided that this was what I wanted to do for my career.

I participate and am passionate about the school's cross country and track program, as well as the pep band. I am a positive, industrious person, is punctual, and loves puns and band jokes. The above video is my high school band performing the march Lassus Trombone. In the background is an image of the Flint Youth Symphony and Courbevoie Youth Orchestra from Paris France, performing a concert at Whiting Auditorium in Flint, Michigan. I am in the top row and the third trombonist from the left.

I started playing the trombone at the encouragement of my aunt and uncle. My uncle was my teacher. A year after his untimely death, I resumed my lessons with a teacher that my uncle had recommended. After continuing to develop my skills, I decided to become a member of the local high school band. In my high school career, I qualified for the MSBOAA state solo and ensemble festival individually two times, and participated in the Flint Youth Symphony Orchestra. Presently I am participating in the Detroit Mercy Pep Band, where we play at all home basketball games.

Some my accomplishments include participating in the MSBOAA State Festival on the trombone twice, All-State Honors in the 4 x 800m relay in 2016, and a Division 2 MHSAA State Meet 4 x 800m relay championship in 2017. I also had the privilege of competing at the 2017 New Balance Outdoor Track & Field National Championships. In my first college competitive season, I have achieved an 8k personal record of 26:47, and 4:28.43 indoor mile. I am excited to see what the future has to hold as I continue to develop my running skills.
